Species Details

White Comfrey is a newly established perennial of waysides and hedges. The sole recent record is from Risley (SK4635); but there are two earlier ones from Bramley Vale (SK4566) in 1969, and Totley Wood (SK3281) in 1951. It is grown in gardens, and indigenous to western Russia, Turkey and the Caucasus.
