Species Details

This elm is a very rare native tree of hedges but it is also often planted. It was recorded for the Ashbourne area (SK1745) and SK17 during the middle of the last century but there have been no recent records. It is not known if this lack of recent records means the tree has been killed off by Dutch Elm disease or has simply been over looked.
