Species Details

Common Cornsalad is a native winter-annual of open ground, generally on thin dry soils, including cultivated land, walls and rocky outcrops. Occasionally found in the White Peak {Chee Dale SK1373,Middletoncross SK2855}, elsewhere it is very rare, {Bretby Village SK2923; Stanley Methodist Church SK4140, Sawley SK4831}. Derbyshire holds the national altitude record for this plant of 365 m at Wormhill (SK17).
