Species Details

(Locally extinct) Broad-fruited Cornsalad was an anciently established annual of arable fields. There are no recent records, the latest one being for Dove Dale (SK15) in 1903. Before then it was recorded for Monsal Dale (SK17), Breadsall (SK33 & 34) and Locko Park (SK43) in the second half of the 19th century. This local loss mirrors a national decline due to agricultural intensification (Preston XXet al. 2002).

This plant is in Category 6 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
