Species Details

This hybrid mullein is a very rare native of waysides and waste ground. There are only four recorded sites. There are recent records from Losehill Hall (SK1581) and the High Peak Trail (SK2654); and previous ones for Alport Mill (SK26) and west of Whatstandwell (SK35) both for 1884. It is the spontaneous hybrid of Great (XXV. thapsus) and Dark Mullein (XXV. nigrum).
