Species Details

Slender Speedwell is a newly established perennial of lawns, grassy paths, waysides and the margins of streams. This delicate plant from northern Turkey and the Caucasus occurs occasionally throughout the county {Wormhill Village SK1274;Dove Dale SK1452; Markeaton Lane SK3237, St Andrew’s Churchyard SK4053} . Since Clapham (1969) recorded it as "still uncommon in Derbyshire", it has spread, even into parts well away from built-up areas.
