Species Details

Garden Pansy is a very rare casual annual or short-lived perennial of tips and disturbed ground throughout Derbyshire {Hadfield SK0296; Rowsley Sidings SK2665; Whittington SK3874, Cotmanhay SK4743}. Of garden origin from various crosses of Wild Pansy (XXV. tricolor) and Field Pansy (XXV. arvensis), it is commonly grown in gardens, escaping or being thrown out with waste.
