Species Details

Hoary Alison is very rare casual biennial of cultivated and waste ground, with no recent records. Older records came from a demolition site in Derby (SK3535) in 1974, a sown clover/rye grass field at Ashbourne (SK1746) in 1946, and near Dale (SK43) in 1903. It occurs naturally in continental Europe, bit is generally imported as an impurity of seed or grain.
