Species Details

Trifid Bur-marigold is a native annual of marshy areas by the sides of lakes, ponds, pits, rivers and canals. There are occasional records from throughout the southern and eastern parts of the county, from Hollingwood Lock (SK4174) in the north, through Ogston Reservoir (SK3760), to Marston-on-Dove (SK2328) and Sawley (SK4631) in the south. It can still be found growing at Sandiacre (SK4835,4836) as mentioned in Linton's Flora. Although generally absent from northern and western Derbyshire, there are a cluster of records around Toddbrook (SK0080 v.c.58) and Combs Reservoirs (SK0379).
