Species Details

Borage is a casual annual of waysides and rough ground, often near houses.. It has been found rarely, throughout Derbyshire from Brierley Green (SK0282) and Ridgeway (SK4081) in the north, to Elvaston (SK4132) and Long Eaton (SK4733) in the south. This attractive plant, indigenous to southern Europe, is cultivated as a garden herb,ornamental or nectar source for bees. Borage can establish itself as an escape via bird-seed.
