Species Details

Soft-brome is a common native annual of grasslands waysides and rough ground mostly on fertile neutral soils. It is also introduced into sown fields as a contaminant of grass-seed mixes. It occurs throughout our area except for the high moors of the Dark and South West Peak. (Use map for B. hordeaceus s.l. here)
