Species Details

This hybrid Brome is a very rare annual of grasslands and weedy places. It is considered here as native but other authorities (Stace XXet al. 2003) have treated it as newly established. The sole recent record is from Trent Lane (SK4932) while there are five previous records all from the 1970s (Ashbourne SK1746, Raperlodge SK2165, Wye Farm SK2565, Mackworth SK3137 & Whitwell SK5376). It is the hybrid of Soft-brome (XXB. hordeaceus ssp. hordeaceus) and Slender Soft-brome (XXB. lepidus).
