Species Details

False Thorow-wax is a very rare casual annual of gardens. There are no recent records but previous ones are scattered throughout our area from Aston Lane (SK1783) for 1972 in the north, to Willington (SK2928) for 1975 and Ockbrook (SK4236) for 1969 in the south. Most records are associated with the use of seed for garden bird feeding. It is a native of the Mediterranean.
