Species Details

This native bramble is recorded from the north-western and central parts of our area. There are records for example from Stockport (SJ9888) and Buxton (SK0573) in the north-west, and from Common Pit Farm (SK2845) and near Pye Bridge (SK4353) in the centre. Nationally it is mainly a plant of Lancashire and Yorkshire (Newton & Randall 2004).
