Species Details

Thin-spiked Wood-sedge is a very rare native perennial of damp woods in lowland Derbyshire. Recent records are from the eastern parts of the county, covering Linacre (SK3372) in the north through Ogston Woodlands (SK3560) to South Wood (SK3620) in the south. There is a specimen from Ogston at Derby Museum. Previously it occurred over a wider area of lowland Derbyshire.

This plant is in Category 5a of the local Red Data List, 2009.
