(Locally extinct) Pheasant’s Eye was a very rare casual annual of cornfields. It has only ever been recorded twice for our area, in Spital (SK37) during 1903 and in Little Eaton (SK33) during 1911. Nationally it is listed as a vulnerable species in the Red List and as a species of Conservation Concern. It is a native of southern Europe.
