Species Details

Himalayan Cotoneaster is a rare recently-established shrub. It is popularly grown in gardens and amenity plantings. Birds readily eat is fruits, and its seeds are thus spread to waste ground and waysides. It is recorded throughout our area (Hayfield SK0386, Unstone SK37T, Gorseybank SK2953, Ticknall SK3523 & Lullington SK2413). It is indigenous to the Himalayas.
