Species Details

Common Bent is a native perennial of grasslands, moors, heaths, scrub and waste ground particularly on acid soils. It is also extensively used as a constituent of lawn seed mixtures. It is very common throughout our area, forming an important component of pastures in upland areas even on the plateau grasslands of the White Peak.
