Species Details

Black Bent is an occasional native perennial of cultivated and waste ground. It is now considered by some authorities (Stace XXet al. 2003) to be anciently established rather than native. It occurs throughout our area from Hadfield (SK0296) and Normanton Springs (SK4084) in the north to Haunton (SK2411) and Long Eaton (SK53B) in the south. It is probably under-recorded.
