Polypodium interjectum x vulgare (P. x mantoniae)
a polypody
Species Details
This hybrid polypody is a very rare native perennial of limestone and gritstone rocks and walls. There are only two recent records, from Coombs Dale (SK2173) and Milltown (SK3561). There are previous records from the same two tetrads plus Monk’s Dale (SK1374) and Wensley Dale (SK2660). All four previous records are from the 1970s. It is probably under-recorded due to confusion with its parents that are Intermediate Polypody (XXP. interjectum) and Polypody (XXP. vulgare).
