Species Details

Three-cornered Garlic is a newly established perennial of waysides and rough ground. Our sole two records are from Monk’s Dale (SK1373) and ???? (SK3?5?). It is grown in gardens for ornament from whence it escapes by being thrown out or by its seeds being dispersed by ants. It has increased nationally since 1962 (Preston XXet al. 2002) and may be expected to spread locally. It is indigenous to the western Mediterranean.
